Paffenbarger & Walden was founded in December of 1996 by Andy Paffenbarger and Bob Walden. Andy and Bob hoped to create a surety bond agency to serve their clients' needs and deliver the best possible customer service in the industry. Paffenbarger & Walden has grown over the past twenty years, and even though Bob has retired, Andy still believes that our Agency delivers on its promise of superior service and satisfaction.

Our Goal at Paffenbarger & Walden is to provide you with the best possible Surety Program for your business, or provide you with any surety bonding needs. Andy's Children used to say that Paffenbarger & Walden "Works for you", and our Agency strives to provide competitive rates and superior customer service.

Andy Paffenbarger
Managing Partner

Andy began his career in 1978 with Western Casualty and Surety Company. In 1997, Andy and Bob Walden built Paffenbarger & Walden as a company that valued relationships. With over 40 years of experience in the surety industry, Andy serves as a mentor, trusted adviser, and resource for his clients and the industry. As Andy's children used to say, "Paffenbarger & Walden works for you".

Scott Wareing
Producer

Scott has worked both in Construction and in the Surety industry with a wealth of knowledge in all regards. Scott began his career with Deca Construction in 1988. In 1994, he moved into the Surety industry working for Amwest Surety until '99 transitioning to work for Great American insurance. In 2001, Scott became part of the agency and has been a storied producer ever since.

Ron Hecksel
Producer

Ron Hecksel has been a valuable member of Paffenbarger & Walden for years. Before becoming an agent, Ron worked for Transamerica, the Insurance Company of the West, Travelers and several other Surety companies before becoming an agent. With Ron's extensive history in the business, he is a trusted advisor to his clients and his fellow agents.

Alex Paffenbarger
Producer

After studying business management at the University of Arizona, Alex began working for Paffenbarger & Walden in 2016 as an account executive but has become the youngest producer on our team. Alex has created innovated procedures and methods that assists all of our clients and takes that innovation and growth mentality for his clients, helping them to grow along with him.
